Sydney Willmuth Kealer of Byrant, Ark., died May 13, 2007, after a 17-month, hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born April 28, 1943, in Strawberry, Ark., to the late Hal and Amy Willmuth.
Survivors include: her husband, Louis O.D. Kealer Jr. of Bryant; her two daughters, Lisa Carver and husband Don of Little Rock and Kim Meaders and husband Mike of Benton; her grandchildren, Madeline and Van Carver and Dillon and Jacob Meaders; her older brothers and their wives Dr. Harold N. Willmuth and Mirage Willmuth of Walnut Ridge and Carroll V. and Oletha Willmuth of Strawberry; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and nephews. She was a teacher at Bryant High School for 28 years. She earned her BBA degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and her master's in education from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She continued taking classes until retirement accumulating many post-graduate hours. She enjoyed teaching and her co-workers at Bryant High School. She attended Primrose United Methodist Church in Sweet Home, Ark., for 20 years. After moving to Bryant, they transferred their membership to Bryant First United Methodist Church. She and Louis have been active members of BFUMC for the past 15 years. A graveside service was held May 15 at Ward Cemetery in Strawberry with Dr. Russell Moore officiating. Pallbearers were Robert Willmuth, Randy Wooldridge, Bill Blankenship, David Clark, F.K. Willmuth and Jimmy Rex Williams. In lieu of flowers, a celebration of her life memorial may be sent to Mt.
