Troy Cannon, 22, of Strawberry died Sept. 6, 2004, at Calamine.
Born July 16, 1982, at Batesville, he was the son of John Monroe Cannon Jr. and Ramona Polston Cannon. He was a welder, having worked for Fluor Daniel's Construction, Triple H Construction and Penn and Pugh Construction. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include his mother, Ramona Cannon of Strawberry; his father and stepmother -- John and Denise Cannon of Strawberry; a brother, Brett Cannon of Saffell; a sister, Annette Townsley of Cave City; a stepbrother, Bryan Luther of Cave City; a stepsister, Ashley Luther of Batesville; two grandmothers -- Doris Polston of Strawberry, and Anna Cannon of Strawberry; three nephews -- Kendall Townsley and Jonathan Townsley, both of Cave City, and Tristan Cannon of Saffell; two nieces -- Mallory Boozer of Saffell, and Zoe Luther of Strawberry; six aunts; five uncles; and 17 cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers -- Jerrell Polston and John Cannon Sr.; and a cousin, Heath Doyle.
The funeral service was Sept. 10 at the Strawberry Church of Christ with Tommy Boles and Keith Martin officiating. Burial followed in Dry Creek Cemetery at Lynn with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Jeffrey Massey, Dustin Gilbert, Jarred Smith, Jason Broadway, David Murphy and Kramer Jones.
Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Mize, Roger Youngs, Jason Sullivan, Clifford Monroe, Trent Polston, Dillon Ferguson, Tom Carley and the River Valley Class of 2001.
