Tressia J. Haslett, 90, died Jan. 3, 2005, in Sapula, Okla.,
Born Oct. 30, 1914, at Moko, Ark., she was the daughter of John Henry and Addie Laura Kelly Barnett.
She was a true homemaker and loving mother, raising three boys and married to her husband, Randel, for more than 70 years. She made friends everywhere she went and was loved by everyone she met.
Survivors include two sons -- Royce and wife, Shelby, of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Larry of Broken Arrow; four grandchildren -- Tim and his wife, Kim of Broken Arrow, Randy and his wife, Kimberley, of Los Osos, Calif., Rhonda Sampson and her husband, Mark, of Broken Arrow, and Hallie Romero and her husband, Rob, of Roseville, Calif.; five great-grandsons and four great-granddaughters; two brothers -- Aulcie and his wife, Bernice Barnett of Lanton, Mo., and Dewey and his wife, Alene Barnett, of West Plains, Mo.; three sisters -- Ruby and her husband, Clifford Skaggs, of Lanton, Otilla Skaggs of Biggs, Calif., and Betty and her husband, Orville, Morris, of Hardy; two sisters-in-law -- Claudia "Pat" Barnett of Waukena, Calif., and Stella Barnett of Moko; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents -- John and Addie; her husband, Randel; a son, Eugene; and three brothers -- Otto "Buck," Bob and Jewell.
The funeral was Jan. 7 at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, with Bro. Gene Bench, officiating. Interment was in Stateline Cemetery at Moko with arrangements under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
Pallbearers were Tim Haslett, Bruce Barnett, Randy Hunt, Glenn Allen, Steven Barnett and Jerry Haslett.
Honorary pallbearers were Dewey Barnett, Aulcie Barnett, Clifford Skaggs and Orville Morris.
