Ted Johnson, 66, of Cherokee Village died May 5, 2004, at his home.
Born June 28, 1937, in Wrightsville, Ga., he was the son of Annie D. McCray Johnson and Roger G. Johnson.
He was retired from the Navy, a retired police officer, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Hardy.
Survivors include his wife, Mirene Langston Johnson of Cherokee Village; three grandchildren -- Tommy Hughes, Shelly Hughes and Erik Hughes; and a great-grandchild, Chase T. Hughes; two brothers -- Coney H. Johnson of Fayetteville, Ga., and Fred G. Johnson of Montgomery, Ala.; and a sister, Thurl Oxford of Macon, Ga.
He was preceded in death two sons -- Jerry Lee Hughes and Lonnie Lloyd Hughes; three brothers; three sisters; and his parents.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete but are by Heath Funeral Home of Hardy.
Memorials are preferred to Eastern Ozarks Regional Hospice.
