Mrs. U.V.L. Hamilton, 82, of Cherokee Village died Sept. 12, 2003, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born July 25, 1921, in Wilberton, Okla., she was the daughter of Sidney Hardy and Ida Mae Baugher Hardy. She moved to Cherokee Village in November of 2001 from California. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons and their wives -- James Sidney Hamilton and Mary of Dos Palos, Calif., and Edmond Harold Hamilton and Sheril of Roy, Wash.; three daughters and their husbands -- Ella Mae Bradley of Cherokee Village, Linda Fay and W.D. Russell of Cherokee Village, and Barbara Ann and Leon Martinez of Atwater, Calif.; two brothers -- Sidney Hardy and Frank Hardy, both of Cane, Okla.; a sister, Violet Hardy of Oakhurst, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edmond Hamilton; and her son, Roy Hamilton.
The funeral service and burial will be in Merced, Calif.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
