Una Lee Richardson Shelton, 82, of Sidney died Jan. 8, 2003, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born Oct. 8, 1920, at Sage, she was the daughter of Isaac Benjamin and Anne Edwards Richardson. She graduated from Melbourne High School in 1938 and attended Arkansas State College from 1938 to 1940. She worked for the Federal Housing Authority in the Washington, D.C., area until she retired in the early 1970s. She was a member of Sidney Baptist Church.
Survivors include three brothers -- Irving B. Richardson of Chicago, John Richardson of Portland, Ore., and W.R. Richardson of Memphis, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, French Shelton; four brothers -- C.O. Richardson, T.O. Richardson, Ewell Richardson and Earl Richardson, a sister, Alleyene Phillips; and two infant sisters.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
