Verna Thelma Russell McKee, 91, formerly of Horseshoe Bend died Oct. 30, 2002, in Missoula, Mont.
She was born in Glendale, Ill., and retired after 20 years as an occupational and recreational therapist for the state of Illinois Mental Health Hospital. She was an active member of the White Shriners, Eastern Star, Lions Club, Illinois Club and Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church. She lived most of her life in various cities in Illinois before moving to Horseshoe Bend in 1978.
Survivors include a son, Ronald L. Russell, and his wife, Marilynn, from Missoula; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Russell; her first husband, Orbie Russell; and her second husband, Herschel McKee.
The funeral was Nov. 8 at Horseshoe Bend United Methodist Church with the Rev. Everett Isom officiating. Burial followed in Evening Shadows Cemetery in Horseshoe Bend.
