William D. Robinson

William D. Robinson, 81, of Kingsland, Ark., died Jan. 25, 2004, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home at Warren, Ark.

Born Nov. 16, 1922, at Hardy, he was the son of George Albert Robinson and Iva Lane Robinson. He was retired from the military having served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Reorganized Latter Day Saints and was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Goetz Robinson of Kingsland; a son, William L. Robinson of Kingsland; a daughter, Eveline Long of Bearden, Ark.; two brothers -- Jack V. Robinson of De Ridder, La., and J.B. Robinson of Monticello, Ark.; four sisters -- Iva Jean Hurst of Coloma, Mich., Mary Ann Hansen of West Plains, Mo., Dorothy Evans of Hardy, and Peggy Trotter of Lexa, Ark.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers -- Lane Robinson, J. Dean Robinson, and James Brice Robinson; and two sisters -- Betty Lou Ramnin and Doris Sue Robinson.

The funeral was Jan. 28 at Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce, Ark., with the Rev. L.T. Marks officiating. Burial was in Crossroads Cemetery at Kingsland.

Arrangements were under the direction of Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
