Waymon Frank Fowler, age 61, died June 1, 2006, at Sears, Mich.
He was born Sept. 20, 1944, at Ash Flat, the son of Merle and Freda Fowler.
Fowler spent his working years employed with GM Truck and Bus in Pontiac, Mich., where he retired in 1991. He had a lifetime love for the outdoors and found peace by working on landscaping and woodwork projects and the time he spent with his wife. Great friendships were formed through his interest of hunting, and friendships were as important as family.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia; two sons, James Glassbrook and Jonathan Fowler (Penny); one daughter, Sandra Davis (Todd); grandchildren Lorna, Nathan, Sam, Todd, Whitney, Jimmy, Marya, Andy and Andrew; his brothers and sisters, Lehman Fowler, JW Fowler (Delores), Peggy Kissinger, Frieda Jean Godwin, Gilbert Fowler (Teri), Sybil Nicholson (Wilbur), Keith Fowler (Carol); and many special nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at the Ortonville United Methodist Church in Ortonville, Mich., on June 5. A memorial service will also be held June 9 at 1 p.m. in his hometown of Ash Flat at the Wiles Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity or the American Cancer Society.
