Willie Faye Perkey, 79, of Sidney died Oct. 31, 2006, at her home.
She was born Aug. 3, 1927, at Mount Pleasant, Ark., the daughter of the late Morris and Tempie (Glenn) Johnson. She was retired from the Sidney Nursing Home, a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivor include two sons, Gilbert McCracken and Erbie Perkey, both of Cave City; one daughter, Dorothy Jean McCracken of Sidney; two brohers, Jimmie Johnson of Batesville and James Johnson of Missouri; five sisters, Edna Johnson of Indiana, Neal Sipe of Mount Pleasant, Ruby Briley of Batesville, Marcel Johnson of Benton Harbor, Mich., and Robbie Billings of Tucson, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, J.R. "Pete" McCracken; her second husband, E.S. Perkey; two brothers, Jewell Johnson and Wayne Johnson; one sister, Laverne Friend; three great-grandchildren, Robbie McCracken, Sydney Bray and Colton Bray.
The funeral services were held Nov. 2 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro Alvin Wiles officiating.
Burial followed in the McCracken Family Cemetery, located on Brickle Springs Road west of Cave City, with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Dale McCacken, Brian Perkey, Bradley Perkey, William Keller, Roderick Keller, Cody Mynatt and Shane Rodgers.
