Winona Farier Stroud, 81, of Sandtown died Sept. 24, 2004, at Sharp Nursing Home in Sidney.
Born Dec. 26, 1922, at Sandtown to Samuel B. and Myrtle Martin Farrier. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pool's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church at Sandtown.
Survivors include a son, Larry Stroud of Cave City; a daughter, Sharon Sanders of Bethesda; five grandsons -- Bill Sanders of California, Glen Sanders, Jason Mead and Sam Mead, all of Batesville, and Luke Lewolfe Stroud of Cave City; a granddaughter, Aymee Mead of Batesville; three great-grandchildren -- Madeline Mead, Isabelle Mead and Justin Mead, all of Batesville; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was Sept. 27 at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with J.W. Roach officiating. Burial followed in Pleasant Valley Cemetery west of Cave City, with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Alvie Stroud.
Pallbearers were Butch Crafton, Jeff Holland, Trent Bradley, Jeff Morris, Jeremy Conyers and Roger Brown.
Honorary pallbearers were Lowell Stroud, Boyce Stroud and Drew Ponder.
