Wanda L. Spurgeon, 74, of Cushman died June 21, 2006, at her home. She was born March 3, 1932, at Sikeston, Mo., to Samuel J. and Gracy (Harlow) Pinkerton.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel Spurgeon of the home; one son, Jimmy Heflin of Heber Springs; three daughters, Jane Johnson of Batesville, Norma Mobley and Ellen Light, both of Cushman; one sister, Iva Jean Alexander of Prescott; six grandchildren, John Johnson of Batesville, James Mobley of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., Michael Mobley and Mandy Franks of Batesville, Heather Light of Cushman and Danny Heflin of Cave City; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jurell Heflin; one daughter, Peggy Heflin; one brother, Sonny Pinkerton; and one sister, Bertha Thompson.
The funeral services were held June 23 at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel located at Batesville. Burial followed in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Cushman with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.
Pallbearers were John Johnson, Michael Mobley, Danny Heflin, Michael Pinkerton, Davey Pinkerton and Ricky Spurgeon.
Honorary pallbearers were Roger Johnson and James Mobley.
