Wilene N. Poteet, 70, of Imboden died June 30, 2004, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.
She was a retired 22-year employee of Wal-Mart. She was born in the Eaton community. She lived in Union, Mo., before moving back to Imboden in 1974. She was a member of Imboden Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Everett Dean Poteet of the home; a daughter, Jimene "Ne" Springer and husband, Bob, of St. Louis; four stepsons -- Shannon Poteet of Imboden, Thomas Poteet and wife, Joetta, of Hardy, Carl Poteet of Imboden, and Wendell Poteet and wife, Tina, of Ravenden; three sisters -- Freeda Johnson of Imboden, Retta Sellers of St. Louis, and Yvonne Fielden of St. Charles, Mo.; a brother, Eugene Chappell of Eureka Springs; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Bessie Chappell, and by three brothers.
The funeral was July 3 at Imboden Church of Christ with Tim Wilkins officiating at the ceremony. Burial was at Hope Cemetery at Imboden with arrangements under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
Pallbearers were Joe Chappell, Rocky Chappell, Jordan Poteet, Jessie Poteet, Kyle Weisenbach and Slade Weisenbach.
