Zilphia Catherine Norman Wright, 96, of Cave City, formerly of Strawberry, died Jan. 22, 2006, at the Cave City Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 20, 1909, at Strawberry, Ark., the daughter of the late Ephraim and Nettie Doyle Norman.
She was united in marriage to William Lones Wright on Nov. 8, 1930.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church at Jessup.
Survivors include two sons, John Wright of Strawberry, and Dalton Wright of Malvern; two sisters, Magdalene Roberts and Alene Holland, both of Strawberry; one brother, Hardaway Norman of Fenton, Mich.; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Norman Wright and Max Wright; one great-grandson, Andrew Wright; six brothers, Restess Norman, Johnny Norman, Richard Norman, Walter Norman, Dalton Norman and Horace Norman; three sisters, Josephine Boyer, Tennessee Birmingham and Nancy Smith.
The funeral service was held Jan. 25 at the Corinth Missionary Baptist Church at Grange, with Bro. Robert Randolph officiating.
Burial followed in the Ward Cemetery at Strawberry, with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers were her great-grandsons.
