Norman L. Martin, of Salem, Ark., son of the late Willis Martin and Pauline Timson Martin, was born May 13, 1934, in Urbana, Ohio. He died May 15, 2008, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark., at the age of 74.
He was united in marriage to Virginia Alexander on Oct. 16, 1953, in Urbana, Ohio.
He was in the printing business and was a protestant.
Survivors include: his wife, Virginia of the family home; children, Arthena Martin of DeQueen, William N. Martin and wife, Starla of Heber Springs; extended family, D. Michael Martin and wife, Pamela of Harrison, Virginia L. Williams and husband, Tim of Glencoe and Fara S. Cheever and husband, Glenn of West Plains, Mo.; his brothers, Marvin E. Martin of Salem, Richard L. Martin of Hot Springs, S.D., and Willis G. Martin of Apopka, Fla.; his grandchildren, Talisa S. Martin, Austin G. Williams, Chasity K. Norris and husband, Zeb, Aaron M. Martin, Jesse L. Cheever and Brandon M. Martin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
There will be a memorial service held at a later time.
