D. Larry Paul, 61, of Salem, Ark., son of the late David Delbert and Winnie Lee (Stroud) Paul, was born Sept. 20, 1946, at Russellville, Ark. He died May 12, 2008, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem.
He was united in marriage to Priscilla Jean Franks on June 9, 1969, at Salem. He was a self-employed Master Electrician and worked several years for North Akansas Electric Cooperative. Larry served his counry in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW Post 9777 in Salem, a member of the Ameican Legion Post 280 in Oxford, Ark., and a member of the Salem Church of Christ.
He is survived by: his wife, Priscilla Paul of Salem; a son, David Paul and wife, Karla of Mountain Home, Ark.; three grandchildren, Katie, Kodie and Zachary Paul of Mountain Home; two sisters, Catherine Paul of Spokane, Wash., and Donna Paul; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held May 16 at the Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem with Bro. Winford Franks officiating. Interment followed in the Camp Cemetery at Camp, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
Pallbearers were Barret Spurlock, Grayson Blake, Jason Marshall, Bryan Long, Alan Whitehead and Jeffery Whitehead.
Honorary pallbearers were Euegene Whitehead, Kenny Hamby, Dennis Hamby, Greg Hamby, Troy Franks, Tommy Franks, Charlie Townsend, Terry Trivitt, Terry Langston, Carroll Prewett and Gary Teague.
