Eathel Grimes, age 87, of Fanklin, Ark., died April 10, 2005, at the Sharp Nursing Home in Sidney. She was born July 22, 1917, in Love, Ark., the daughter of Harvey Parks and Mary Liza McAnally Lankford. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband logging and farming.
Survivors include one son, John Grimes of Monroe, Iowa; two daughters -- Freda Smith of Covington, Ga., and Jane Wright of Evening Shade; two sisters -- Vernell Black of Ash Flat, and Margaret Carter of Brownsville, Calif.; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Grimes; a brother, Harvey Lankford; a sister, Veldie Cowart; and one great-grandson, Jeremy Smith.
Funeral services were April 13 at the the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Noble Wiles officiating.
Burial followed in the Roberts Cemetery near Franklin, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City, Ark.
Pallbearers were Brian Phillips, Hayden Phillips, Bob Love, Brandon Johnson, Lynn Wallace and Keith Grimes.
Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Blankenship and Guy Branscum.
