Leslie "Lester" Gene James, 40, of Jonesboro, Ark., died April 5, 2005, at his home.

He was born Sept. 26, 1964, in Jonesboro, Ark.

He lived in Jonesboro most of his life. He was a former employee of Knuckles and Son and Central Chevrolet.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include his fiance' Goldia Lee of Jonesboro; a son, Randy Milsap of Jonesboro; a daughter, Catherine James of St. Louis, Mo.; his mother, Carolyn Cobb Doyle of Ash Flat, Ark.; three brothers -- Wesley Junior James of Memphis, Tenn., Ray Curtner of Brookland, Ark., and Donnie Lawrence Curtner of Jonesboro, Ark.; two sisters -- Rebecca Espinoza of Jonesboro, and Coelene Doyle of Hardy, Ark.; and two grandchildren.

The funeral service was held April 7 at the Philadelphia Cemetery with graveside services and burial.

Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
