Maggie Luellen Mitchell, 84, of Koshkonong died Aug. 17, 2004, at Shady Oaks Health Care in Thayer.
Born Aug. 19, 1919, in Ash Flat, she was the daughter of Arlonzo F. Woten and Lillie Fay Shupp Mitchell. She married John Lee Mitchell Feb 21, 1937, in Salem.
She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Grand Gulf Church in Thayer.
She was a minister of the gospel for many years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands -- Clara and Bill Haley of Koshkonong, and Betty and Jim Harnden of St. Louis; three sons and their wives -- Darrell and Nell Mitchell of Thayer, Jim and Mary Mitchell and Richard and Bonnie Mitchell, all of Koshkonong; three sisters -- Dollie Bishop and Daisy Thompson, both of Mammoth Spring, and Clara Etta Upton of Pittsburg, Kan.; two brothers -- Lloyd Woten and Charles Woten both of Fairdale, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
The funeral was Aug. 21 at Carter Funeral Home in Thayer. Burial followed in Thayer Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Carter Funeral Home Inc. of Thayer, Mo.
