Jennifer Lynn Elliott, 30, of Ward, Ark., died April 23, 2004, at UAMS in Little Rock, Ark., after losing a heroic and valiant battle with cystic fibrosis. She was met at Heaven's gate by her grandparents, Milton and Annetta Bryant of Lonoke, George Williams of Ward, and Ellen Saucier of Evening Shade.
Survivors include her parents -- Linda and Bill Thompson of Ash Flat, Bill and Charle' Elliott of West Fork; two brothers -- Darren Elliott of Cabot and Michael Elliott of Beebe; a niece, Sydney Elliott of Cabot; grandmother, Dorothy Williams; adopted stepgrandfather Gene Taylor and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and two special friends, LeeAnn Evans and Missy Flowers and her beloved cat, Julie.
Jenni worked at the North Little Rock Michael's Arts and Crafts Store for 12 years as cashier, bookkeeper, master framer and assistant manager until her health declined in November 2003.
She selfishly donated her body to science and research with the hope that any knowledge gained about the effects of Cystic Fibrosis would help others in the future.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local humane society, because Jenni so loved animals, especially cats and horses, or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in Little Rock.
An outdoor gathering to celebrate Jenni's life will be held at the pavilion at Spring Park in Searcy from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. May 2. Please bring a lawn chair and a covered dish.
Sincere thanks go to the staff of the UAMS Cystic Fibrosis Clinic (Dr. Paula Anderson, Donna and Cynthia) UAMS ICU (Dr. White and staff).
