OREGON COUNTY -- Officials at the Oregon County Courthouse have announced they will hold the first ever Jail and Bail May 6.
According to Oregon County Presiding Commissioner Leo Warren the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
"It will cost $5 for someone to have someone incarcerated and that person will have to raise $25 in order for them to be released from jail," the commissioner said. Warren said the Courthouse Cancer Coalition Camp (CCCC) will sponsor the Jail and Bail. He said Oregon County Southern Commissioner Big John Wrenfrow will sell barbecue the day of the event and all proceeds made that day will go to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
