OREGON COUNTY -- The Rover Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) will hold a general membership drive and open house May 8. The American Red Cross Blood Mobile will be on site and a blood pressure screening will take place the day of the event.
Renovations have been made to the fire house. Fire Chief Glen Trantham and fire board president Leon VonAllmon will be available the day of the open house to answer questions and address memberships, operations of the fire department or any concerns the public might have. Firefighters and first responders will be available the day of the event for the public to meet. Light refreshments will be served. For every donation a free gift will be given from the American Red Cross.
