Linn and Willie Ann Garner of Glencoe have announced the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Julea Glynn, to Brien Nix Hall, son of Jerry Hall of Salem and Louise Nix Swink of Ash Flat.The bride-elect is a graduate of Salem High School. She received a bachelor's degree from Arkansas College (now Lyon College) and a medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She completed a residency in family medicine at Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, Pa. Dr. Garner is currently in private practice at the Family Care Medical Clinic at Hardy, which is affiliated with St. Bernard's Medical Center.The prospective groom is a graduate of Highland High School. He received a bachelor's degree in health care administration from Arkansas College (now Lyon College), a master's degree from Duke University, attended Oxford University in the United Kingdom for two terms of post-graduate studies and earned an MSSW degree from the University of Tennessee. He is employed by Arkansas Radiation Medicine and also as an outpatient clinical therapist for St. Bernard's Medical Center.Garner is the granddaughter of the late Tom and Isa Godwin Garner and the late Bud and Edith Hosman Horrel of Hardy. Hall is the grandson of Maxine Hammond Hall of Salem and the late Johnson Hall and Lilbern Farris Nix of Ash Flat and the late Orvis Nix.The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m. March 17 at Spring River Presbyterian Church in Hardy with Dr. C. Fitzhugh Spragins officiating. All friends and relatives are invited to the wedding and the reception, which will immediately follow in the church fellowship hall.The couple will reside in Ash Flat.
