THAYER -- Thayer School Board of Education has set the filing dates for candidates interested in seeking a school board position in the April 6 election. Board members voted for the filing dates to be between Dec. 16 and Jan. 20. Two board member positions will be filled in the April election.
Board members reviewed patrons' ideas on what needs to be done with the old elementary building after students and teachers have moved into the new building. Superintendent Bill Garrison requests that anyone interested in giving input on the matter write him at 401 East Walnut Street.
The 2003-04 audit report presented by Kenneth Schultz was accepted by school board members. The financial report was reviewed and school board members voted to pay bills.
Board policy changes as recommended by the Missouri School Board Association were approved and a summary of the annual performance report was presented by the superintendent.
School board members voted to employ Dianne Ormsbee as a custodian for the remainder of the school year.
The next regular meeting of Thayer School Board will be Dec. 11.
