Betty Mae Vandiver, 74, daughter of the late Andrew and Eva L. Dobbs Wilson was born Nov. 4, 1929, at Barnsdall, Okla. She died Sept. 3, 2004.
On Nov. 18, 1947, she was married at Brandsville, Mo. to Belvin C. Vandiver who preceded her in death Aug. 27, 1997.
She had been employed as a seamstress at the Salem Shirt Factory and Silver Dollar City. She was of the Pentecostal faith and had attended the Brandsville Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by six children -- Betty Neal and husband, Bernard, of Byron, Johnnie Vandiver and wife, Tammy of Brandsville, Jim Vandiver and wife, Anna of Brandsville, Bobby Vandiver and wife, Maggie of Koshkonong, Nancy Titsworth and husband, Allen of Koshkonong, and Paula Vandiver, of West Plains; 11 grandchildren eight great-grandchildren; two brothers -- Charles Wilson and wife, Marilyn of Koshkonong and Robert Wilson and wife, Elma of Brandsville; three sisters -- Mary Guy and husband, Bill, of West Plains, Nadine Brewer and husband, Jim, of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Helen Jewell of Koshkonong; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, an infant daughter, Belva Jean Vandiver; a grandchild, Bradley Vandiver; a brother and a sister.
The funeral was Sept. 7 at Rose Chapel with burial in the Union Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains.
Pallbearers were Bernard Lee Neal, Johnny "Peanut" Vandiver, Jr., Billy Joe Vandiver, Joey Lee Vandiver, Shelby Shaw, and Adam Harlin.
Honorary pallbearers were George Vandiver, Rob Bowers and Bob Titsworth.
