Grounded
Grounded: A canoe was blown into two downed trees after a violent storm, possibly a tornado, that ripped through the Thunderbird Lake area Nov. 1 in Cherokee Village. Local officials said the storm caused damage to several houses near the lake, but no injuries were reported from the storm. The storm was a part of a larger storm system that passed through the state causing flooding and wind damage in several counties. Minor damage was reported in nearby Hardy as a result of the storm.
