James "Jim" Douglas Homod, 24, of Kesovick Air Force Base Iceland, died July 28, 2004, at his home.
Born July 22, 1980, in Murfreesboro, Tenn., he was the son of Barbara Bailey Homod and John Homod of Hardy. He was a 1998 graduate of Highland High School and was a welder.
Survivors include his wife, Sheryln Homod of Iceland; his son, Ethan Douglas Homod of Iceland; his parents; two brothers -- John David Homod and Cody Homod, both of Hardy; two sisters -- Amy Charbauski and Wendy Lute, both of Ash Flat; two grandparents -- J.E. Bailey and Lee Bailey, both of Ash Flat; his father-in-law, Larry Ashley of Melbourne; his mother-in-law, Irene Ashley of Cherokee Village; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Aug. 4 at Heath Oak Hill Chapel with Gary Arnold and Charles Wesley officiating. Music will be provided by Mike Asher.
Burial followed at Baker Cemetery in Ozark Acres with arrangements under the dieciton of Heath Funeral Home of Hardy.
Pallbearers are Curtis Jackson, Alex Hester, Israel Hester, Charles Toler, Steve Franklin and Steve Baker.
