OREGON COUNTY -- Three Thayer men have with charged with class C felony theft.
According to the Oregon County Sheriffs Office and the prosecuting attorney's office at Alton, arrested Nov. 29 were Justin P. Tune, 18, Joseph M. Defina, 22, and Aaron P. Cauble, 18, all of Thayer.
The three are charged with stealing tools valued at not less than $500 and not more than $2,500 from Duane Tune of Thayer.
In other law enforcement action, officers transported Jacob C. Burmingham, 18, of Alton to the Missouri Department of Correction in Bonne Terre Nov. 2 on a probation violation charge.
Burmingham was arrested for the third time for driving with no operator's license earlier this year, breaking his probation. He is being sent to the correctional facility on a 120--day program.
When Burmingham returns he will face burglary and stealing charges pertaining to a break-in at Thayer Freewill Baptist Church.
Two handheld radios and a payroll check for $696.05 were stolen from the church in August.
