Don "Pappy" McGuire, 90, of Myron died July 27, 2004, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. Born Oct. 28, 1913, at Monette, Ark., he was the son of William Homer and Virgie Pearl Rogers McGuire. He was retired from public works, a farmer and a member of Myron Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Mcguire of Ash Flat Nursing and Rehab; two daughters -- Daisy Wolfenbarger of Tulsa, Okla., and Linda Bailey of Ash Flat; a sister, Mavis Powell of Marion, Ind.; three grandchildren -- Rick Wolfen-barger of Oklahoma City, Okla., Scan Bailey of Mammoth Spring and Alicia McBryde of Evening Shade, Ark.; seven great-grandchildren -- Tara Wolfenbarger and Renee Wolfenbarger both of Oklahoma City; Landen Bailey and Laken Bailey, both of Mammoth Spring, and Bailey McBryde, Molly McBryde and Micah MyBryde all of Evening Shade; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers -- Buster McGuire and W.H. McGuire; and two sisters -- Mabel Grissom and Irene Marlin.
The funeral was July 31 at Myorn Baptist Church with Eric Lockhart and Clint Mc-Bryde officiating. Burial followed in Godwin Cemetery located south of Myron with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Rick Wolfenbarger, Sean Bailey, Clint McBryde, Scott Lambert, Les Lambert and Cletus Bailey.
