Reva Ann Brewer, 88, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died Oct. 28, 2004, in Mountain Home, Ark. She was born July 28, 1916, in Morgan County, Ind. She was the daughter of Walter S. Norman and May Dunham Norman. She worked as an inspector for RCA in Indianapolis during World War II., and later went to work for the state of Indiana. She retired from State Life Insurance in Indiana where she worked as a senior statistician for the company.
She married William E. Brewer Oct. 3, 1942, in Indianapolis. While living in Indianapolis, she was a member of the NME NAMI Chapter of the American Business Women's Association and of the Toastmaster's Club.
She moved with her husband to Cherokee Village in 1979, where she was active in the local Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Spring River Presbyterian Church in Hardy.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law -- Carolyn Sue and Jack H. Esslinger of Mountain View; three brothers -- Wayne Norman of Martinsville, Ind., Clayton Norman of Birds Eye, Ind., and Loren Dale Norman of Indianapolis; a sister, Marguerite Voiles of Morgan-town, Ind.; two granddaughters -- Kristin Chaffin of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Karin Hays of Austin, Texas; a great-granddaughter, Sasha Nova of Austin, Texas; and her devoted companion, Tony Tucker of Ash Flat.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Brewer; and four brothers -- Darrell, Joe, Paul, and Linus Norman.
The funeral was Nov. 3 at Tri-county's Cherokee Chapel with Rev. Vern Forsberg officiating. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery at Highland. Arrangements were under the direction of Tri-County's Cherokee Chapel of Highland.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the charity of one's choice.
