MAMMOTH SPRING -- Mammoth Spring Mayor Jean Pace has announced that recent grant proposals written by her have resulted in funds for improvements to the Mammoth Spring Fire and Police departments.

She said in a recent news release that the city fire department will have $2,000 to purchase small tools, nozzles and other pieces of small equipment needed by the fire department. She said this grant is from the Arkansas Forestry Commission's Rural Fire Protection Department.

The police department will receive poster creation software, a computer, color printer, three years of technical support and three years of Internet connectivity.

Mayor Pace said this project was funded through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
