It seems that some people think they are above the law.
Just weeks after The News published the names, photographs and addresses of sex offenders in Fulton County, a new one might soon be added to the list.
Jerry Dale Marshall, 20, of Salem was charged with multiple sexual crimes involving a minor in Fulton County District Court Aug. 3.
In the official arrest warrant, Arkansas State Police Special Agent Becky Vacco said that on Aug. 1 she interviewed two 12-year-old females and a 13-year-old male regarding any improper advances made by Marshall.
One of the minor females told Vacco that on July 25 Marshall had exposed his genitals to her; her friend, the other minor female being interviewed; and her 13-year-old male friend being interviewed. In that same interview, the girl told Vacco that her friend had also told her that she had sexual intercourse with Marshall July 23, just two days prior to when he exposed his genitals to the three minors, Vacco said.
Following that interview Vacco said she spoke with the minor male to whom Marshall allegedly exposed his genitals.
The boy also said that he knew of the incident between Marshall and the second female. She said the boy told her Marshall admitted to him that he had sex with the young girl.
Vacco then spoke with the young girl who had allegedly had sex with Marshall.
The girl denied the claims made by the first two victims, Vacco said. The girl only admitted to kissing Marshall and said he had only touched her breasts under her clothing.
After speaking with the three minors, Vacco said she interviewed Marshall.
She said Marshall admitted to exposing his genitals to the three minors, as well as to having sex with the young girl at her residence in Salem.
Marshall is charged with rape, a class Y felony, and sexual indecency with a child, a class D felon.
Marshall is currently being held in the Fulton County Jail in lieu of a $30,000 bond.
