Wanda Lucille Gardner, 75, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., daughter of the late James Lenuel and Nola Mae (Langston) Potter was born May 25, 1927, at Blanchard, Okla. She departed this life Oct. 13, 2002, at Salem, Ark. She was married to Kenneth R. Gardner Dec. 7, 1946, at San Francisco, Calif., and to this union two children were born. She spent her working years as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a traffic controller for Pacific Telephone Company from 1958, until her retirement in 1989. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors are one daughter, Drenda Lee Sutton and husband, Edward of Salem; seven grandchildren, Robert Morton, DiAnna Shehan, Justin Gardner, Zachary Gardner, Joshua Gardner, Shannon Gardner, and Joseph Gardner; three great-grandchildren, Bryanna Morton, Brock Morton and Zachary Shehan; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son John Clayton Gardner; one brother; and six sisters.
Visitation was Oct. 15, at the Barker Funeral Home Chape in Salem.
The body was cremated with arrangements under the direction of Barker Funeral Home.
