Ray E. "Gene" King, 50, of Cave City, died Oct. 17, 2002, at White River Medical Center in Batesville.
Born Oct. 24, 1951, at Noblesville, Ind., he was the son of Raymond J. and Eunice Brown King. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda King of the home; two sons -- Jimmy King of Calamine and Johnny King of Cave City; a daughter, Regina Bowden of Cave City; two brothers -- Anthony Dale King of Cave City and Raymond Dean King of Knoxville, Tenn.; his parents Raymond and Euncie King of Cave City; a sister, Rebecca Gail McCrackin of Calamine; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was Oct. 19, at Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Dennis Gay officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Sidney. Arrangements were under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers were Colbert Crouch, Gary Tackett, Bobby Davis, Rickey Bowden, Paul Stuntz and Felix Smith.
