The money from the fund-raiser will be used for promoting the town through advertising in magazines and maintaining billboards.
The event was made possible by area merchants who donated prizes, said Jane Greenfield, treasurer of the Horseshoe Bend chamber.
Merchants sponsored a gaming table and it was their responsibility to man that table, Greenfield explained.
Carla Byers, manager of the Hillhigh, said it was "fantastic to see that so many people supported the chamber on Casino Night." She said the fund-raiser has been held at the resort for the past two years.
At the conclusion of the evening gamblers were able to turn in their play money at the bank to receive one prize drawing ticket for each $10,000 in play money to be eligible to win a prize.
A silent auction was held for jewelry and a golf package. Prizes were donated from merchants all over the area, including: Horseshoe Bend, Franklin, Melbourne, Calico Rock, Salem, Ash Flat, Highland, Hardy, Cherokee Village, Batesville, Mountain Home and Tunica, Miss., said Greenfield.
