Born 5-15-1924 -- Died 1-11-2005
Howard Eager Earl, 80, of the late William Daniel and Rosa Lucretia Smith Earl was born on May 15, 1924, in Beaver Crossing, Neb. He died Jan. 11 in Mountain Home, Ark.
He married Mitzi Jean Seibold June 11, 1948, at Jamestown, N. D., and to this union three sons were born. He spent his working years as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a licensed arborist. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Salem Immanuel Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Mitzi Earl of Salem; three sons - Richard Earl and wife, Toni, of Tecumseh, Neb.; William Earl and wife, Mary, of Salem, Ark.; and David Earl and wife, Lora, of Greenwood, Neb.; four sisters - Mary Helget of Dighton, Kan. Doris Harris of Tampa, Fla., Dorothy Meyer of Glendale, Ariz., and Margaret Sharp of Nashville, Tenn., a grandson Donald Earl and wife, Victoria, of Newport News, Va.; Granddaughter; Nikayla Earl of Salem; three great-grandchildren - Zachary Earl, Jacob Earl and Katlynn Earl, all of Newport News, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers - Lester and Harold; and two sisters - Ellen Frisby and Edith Wambold.
The memorial services was Jan. 15, at Salem Immanuel Southern Baptist Church in Salem with Alan Winberry officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Grafton Cemetery in Grafton, Neb. Arrangements were by Barker Funeral Home in Salem.
