Irgens went four-for-four at the plate with one double, two stolen bases, and two runs scored for the Cougars.
The Bears got to ICC starter Rex Burrow early in the first inning by manufacturing a pair of runs.
Derek Todd led off for Mammoth Spring with an infield hit.
Matt Newman moved Todd to second with a sacrifice bunt.
Todd crossed the plate as Brett Greene lined a hard shot over the head of Burrow.
Andrew Burke got his first RBI of the game as he stroked a single to center, scoring Greene and giving the Bears a 2-0 lead.
ICC wasted little time as they evened the game at 2-all in the home half of the first.
After a couple of strikeouts, Irgens posted the first Cougar hit of the contest on a roller past shortstop.
Irgens moved into scoring position as he stole second, and then came home as Rex Burrow hit a ball into the outfield that was misplayed by the Bears defense.
Jason Sherrell knocked Burrow in with a looper to short center to tie the game.
Burrow settled down on the mound after the first inning and gave the Bears little to work with the rest of the game.
The Cougars added to their lead in the bottom of the third as Eric Small started off with a single.
Irgens followed with a double to straight-away center.
Burrow helped his own cause as he smoked a high-fly to the outfield that was dropped.
Small and Irgens scored on the error, giving the Cougars a 4-2 advantage after three.
Mammoth Spring's Derick Baldridge posted a base hit in the top of the fourth, but was thrown out getting a lead off first base.
Eric Small picked up an RBI for ICC in the bottom of the fourth on a hard hit ball to center that plated Josh Dockins.
Derek Todd came in to relieve Bears starter Matt Newman in the bottom of the fifth.
Irgens greeted Todd by collecting his third hit of the day.
Burrow brought Irgens home on a RBI base hit.
Jason Sherrell then drew a base-on-balls and stole second base.
Burrow and Sherrell both scored to pad the Cougar lead at 8-2.
The Bears tacked on a final run to their total in the top of the sixth as Brett Greene nailed a double that rolled to the outfield fence.
Andrew Burke added an RBI to his day on a hit that scored Greene.
The Bear rally ended as Burrow shut the door in the seventh to give ICC the 10-3 victory.
