An Agnos man was found murdered in his home in Agnos late Monday night.
The body of Russell Fisk, 66, was discovered at his home located at 162 Strawberry Lane by his great nephew.
Kelly Garner, Fisk's niece, said her son found Fisk dead around 11 p.m. June 24. Her son ran out of the home to get help after discovering the body, Garner said.
Attorney Tom Garner, Kelly Garner's husband, contacted the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, said Sheriff Lloyd Martz.
Martz said Fisk apparently died after he was struck with a blunt object. Martz added he thought the crime occurred between 9:30 to 10 p.m that night. He said there was no sign of forced entry. Authorities have been busy working on leads they have received. "We do expect to make an arrest,"Martz said.
Martz said he didn't think Fisk had a prior criminal record nor did he believe drugs or alcohol was connected with the crime.
Martz said special agents Tommy Cleveland and Jeff Stone of the Arkansas State Police are handling the investigation.
Fulton County Deputy James Humphrey was called to the scene to assist with the investigation.
