The Oxford Fire Department responded to a structure fire Jan. 14 at the home of John and Linda Wilson on Greenacres Road, south of Oxford. Fire Chief Randy Carpenter said the structure was a total loss due to smoke and water damage. The cause of fire has not yet been determined, said Carpenter. The Franklin Fire Department also arrived on the scene. Firemen were able to control the blaze in about three hours. Oxford City clerk Bonnie Moss said the Wilsons had moved from the home the same day the house caught fire.
