Stephen Martin Seibert Jr., 95, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., passed away Jan. 6, 2003, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem. He was born Dec.1, 1907, in Salem, Pa., the son of Stephen Seibert Sr. and Dora Mizlo Seibert. He was married to Dorothea Symmonds July 14, 1949, in Bluegrass, Iowa. He retired from Kelsey-Hayes Company as a machinist. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles Club; a member of the Bettendorf, Iowa Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Machinist Union. He enjoyed bowling, and horseshoes, was a member of the Horseshoe Pitchers Club, and also enjoyed gardening. He was a member of St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothea of the home; three sons -- William Seibert of Port Orchard, Wash., Martin Seibert of Dewitt, Iowa, and David Seibert of Horseshoe Bend; one daughter, Marlene Main of Virginia, Minn.; one brother, John Seibert of Zanesville, Ohio; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass was Jan. 11 at St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church with Fr. Preske officiating. Rosary was in the chapel of Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel, with burial in the Violet Hill Cemetery in Violet Hill, Ark. Arrangements were under the direction of Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
