R.F. Farris, 77, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died May 23, 2004, at Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis, Tenn.
He was born Jan. 27, 1927 in Rector, Ark., the son of Karrie Billeydoux Farris and Allie Farris.
He was a retired machinist for IBC products in Troy, Mich., and was a United States Army veteran.
Survivors include three sons -- Butch Farris of Springhill, Fla., Greg Farris of Cherokee Village, Ark., and Randy Farris of Morrice, Mich.; one daughter, Katheran Reed of Webberville, Mich.; two brothers -- James Farris of Wornall, Mo. and W.E. Farris of Wornall, Mo.; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Farris; his parents; two brothers and two sisters.
The funeral service was held May 27 at First Assembly of God in Highland, Ark., with Tim Turner officiating.
Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery in Highland, Ark., with arrangements under the direction of Heath Funeral Home, Oak Hill Chapel of Hardy.
