A 1989 Toyota truck driven by Herbert Gaines
An Evanston, Wy., man took a ride last week on the Arkansas Missouri stateline with his big rig ending up about 5 feet from deepest part of the spring at Mammoth Spring State Park. A 1989 Toyota truck driven by Herbert Gaines, 72, of Mammoth Spring pulled out in front of the 1999 Kenworth tractor trailer driven by Noel Sippel, according to authorities. Gaines truck was pushed to an empty business across Highway 63, and Sippel's Kenworth nearly slid into the spring. Neither driver was seriously injured in the accident. The accident was investigated by officers Michael Davis and Jamie Turnbough of the Mammoth Spring Police Department.
