If your squad is only going to nail one 3-point shot on the night, it might as well be a memorable one.

Shane Waggoner canned Koshkonong's lone shot from behind the arc in the Bluejays' non-conference matchup with the Izard County Consolidated Cougars at the Bluejays' Nest Dec. 13, lifting his team to a 57-56 win over ICC.

With the Cougars leading 56-54, Waggoner beat the buzzer, showing just a shade over one second on the clock, with a trey from the right wing to push Koshkonong to victory. Until that point, the Jays were 0-13 from 3-point land in the game.

The sides proved to be evenly matched, tied at 16-all after one before ICC led 36-35 at the half, only to see the Bluejays overtake the margin, 49-46, after three.

ICC swiped the advantage back on its side in the last minute of the game before Waggoner's clutch shot.

Waggoner finished with 10 points on the night. The Bluejays' Levi Roark led all scorers with 20 points, while teammate Justin Rigel tallied 12.

Jason Sherrell paced ICC with 11, and James Morgan added 10.

A huge outing of 25 points, 12 boards and six assists from Lady Cougar Brittney Richardson helped push ICC past Koshkonong 58-47 to start off the evening.

ICC jumped in front 17-11 after one and held on to lead by three, 27-24, at the half.

Katy Roark paced Koshkonong with 21 points, and Johna Wade added 10 for the Lady Bluejays.

Lauren Cunningham tossed in 16 points for the Lady Cougars.
