The Rev. C. Waymon Hollis, 68, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died Feb. 15, 2005, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark.
He was born Dec. 19, 1936, in Paragould, Ark., the son of John Murry Hollis and Cornell Bird Hollis.
He was a Methodist minister for 48 years before retiring. He was married to Linda D. Hollis.
Survivors include his wife, Linda D. Hollis of Cherokee Village; a daughter, Kim Barton of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two sons -- Curtis W. Hollis of Newport, Ark. and Chris Hollis of Bonham, Texas; two brothers -- John B. Hollis of Paragould, Ark., and Joel Hollis of Hagerstown, Md.; a sister, Reba Boone of Paragould; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Feb. 17, at the Cherokee Village United Methodist Church with Sam Teague officiating and Ron Durham assisting.
Arrangements were under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Hardy, Ark.
