Alvin Lee Young, 53, son of William Weaver and Bonnie Jean Zackery Young, was born Oct. 16, 1951, in Mountain Home, Ark. He died Feb. 10, 2005, at his home in Salem.
Alvin spent his working years as a truck driver. He served his country in the United States Army and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include a son, Lucas Young of Warsaw, Mo.; his parents -- Bill and Bonnie Young of Salem; six sisters -- Wilma Jean Torrence of Chewelah, Wash., Corda Lee Heide of Mountain View, Ark., Mary Ann Weatherford of Salesville, Ark., Doris Hamburg of Wisconsin, Joyce Gail Comeau of Hot Springs, Ark., and Ellen Mullins of Hidden Valley; six brothers -- Calvin Young of Salem, Coy Young of Ravenden, Ark., Tommy Young of Imboden, Fairn Young of Highland, Ark., Terry Jo Young of Salem and Clarence Young of Mountain View; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Orgel Glen Young.
The memorial service was Feb. 14, at Barker Funeral Home Chapel in Salem, with Calvin Hardin officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of the Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Ark,.
