William Lee Milligan, 85, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, Jan. 29, 2002 at the Cave City Nursing Home. He was born Sept. 2, 1916 at Calamine to Henry and Rosie (Anderson) Milligan. He was a farmer, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the Church of Christ.Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lola Milligan of the home; one daughter, Mildred Treadway of Poughkeepsie; one brother, Glenn Dale Milligan of Cave City; two sisters, Pearl Boyd of Perry, and Retha Russo of Evening Shade; two grandchildren, Patrick Treadway of Poughkeepsie and Kimberly Vance of Batesville; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Walter Milligan and Lois Joe Milligan; and one sister, Eddie Faye Floyd.Services were Friday, Feb. 1, 2002 at 10 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. William Ander-son officiating. Burial was in the Townsend Cemetery at Smithville with arrangements under the direction of Qualls Funeral Home of Cave City.Pallbearers were T. J. Jenkins, Dean Boyd, Jim Miller, Ben Jenkins, Jerry Humbrecht, and Robin Medlock.Honorary pallbearers were Patrick Treadway, Tommy Wilson, and Chris Vance.
