Hagar, Scribner unite in marriage

Leslie Frances Hagar of Jonesboro became the bride of Dr. John Heath Scribner of Salem March 13.

The bride is the daughter of Dan and Barbara Hagar of Clarksville, and Ron and Kathy Mathes of Jonesboro. She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ernest Hogue of Jonesboro, Bill and Marie Barber of Cabot, and Ruth Craig of Blytheville.

A 1997 graduate of Heber Springs High School, she earned a chemistry degree from Arkansas State University in 2002.

The groom is the son of Tommy and Novela Scribner of Salem. He is the grandson of Bill and Gaye McCollum of Oxford, and Goldie Scribner of Salem

He is a second year resident AHEC at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

A 1994 graduate of Salem High School, he earned degrees in chemistry and biology in 1998 from the University of the Ozarks and a medical degree in 2002 from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

The couple resides in Jonesboro.

They will honeymoon May 23-28 Las Vegas.
