Born 12-21-1915 -- Died 8-22-2003

Russell Stone, 87, of Viola, son of the late Grover and

Annie Brown Stone, was born Dec. 21, 1915, in rural

Viola, Ark. He died Aug. 22, 2003, at Fulton County

Nursing Home in Salem. He married Louise Mae Price

in 1942 in Viola, Ark. She preceded him in death in

1974. He married Dicie Irene Kerley Dockins on Oct.

31, 1975, at West Plains, Mo.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during world War

II. He was a farmer and also worked at a flooring

company in West Plains. He was a member of Viola

Church of Christ.

Survivors include his sons -- James Russell Stone and

wife, Glenda, of Mountain Home; Lloyd Ray Stone of

Gepp, and Robert Joe Stone and wife, Luanne, of

Gepp; two stepchildren -- Wilma James and husband,

Jimmie of Elizabeth, and Rhudeen James and

husband, Wilb, of Elizabeth; a brother-in-law, Curtis

Brown of West Plains; four grnadchildren; seven

step-grandchildren- and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both wives; one son,

Thomas Cleveland Stone; an infant daughter who died

at birth; two brothers -- John and Floyd Stone one sister,

Mildred Brown and his parents.

The funeral was Aug. 24 at Viola Church of Christ.

Burial was at County Line Cemetery at Gepp, with

arrangements under the direction of Cox-Blevins
