Magdalen "Busha" Borko-wicz Grzywana, 98, daughter of the late Andrew and Frances Sikorski Borkowicz, was born on Nov. 18, 1905, in Chicago, Ill. She died April 12, 2004, in Bentonville, Ark.

She was married to John Grzywana on June 2, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., and to this union three children were born.

During her working years, Magdalen worked in a Chicago Tie Factory.

During World War II she worked at Kingsbury Defense Plant. She was a member of the all Saints Cathedral Catholic Church in Chicago.

Survivors include two daughters -- Jeanette Gryzwana of Midway, Ark. and Helen Weinmeier of Bella Vista, Ark., Canyon Lake, Calif., and Chicago. Six grandchildren -- Robin Weinmeier Moser of Fayetteville, Ark., Robert Weinmeier Jr. of Marina Del Rey, Calif., Susan Gleghorn of Rogers, Ark., the Rev. Ginger Gryzwana Memmott of Fredrick, Md., Greta Gryzwana Teague of Nashville, Tenn., and Todd Gryzwana of Branscomb, Calif., and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Thaddeus "Tadge" Gryzwana; four brothers -- Andy, Louis, George and Joseph Borkowicz; three sisters -- Veronica Chuta, Martha DeDina and Anna Symanski; and a granddaughter, Barbara "Babsy" Cathey.

The funeral was held April 16 at all Saint's Cathedral Parish in Chicago, with Jan Dawidziuk officiating. Interment was in the All Saint's Polish National Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to All Saints' Cathedral Catholic Church Building Fund in Chicago, Ill.

Pallbearers were James D. Gleghorn, Daniel Gleghorn, Taylor Gleghorn, Austin Moser, Michael Moser and Robert Weinmeier Jr.
