Holden asks for holiday help

Thursday, November 13, 2003

MISSOURI -- Gov. Bob Holden and first lady Lori Holden have invited the children and families of Missouri's mobilized and deployed service members to make homemade Christmas ornaments to decorate the Capitol Christmas tree. The tree will be displayed outside the governor's office this holiday season.

The Holdens encourage the families to send patriotic themed ornaments with their loved ones names on the ornaments.

The ornaments should be sent to: Governor's Office, Beth Reeds Hofherr, State Capitol, Room 218, Jefferson City, MO, 65101. The names and addresses of the persons sending the ornaments should be sent along with the ornaments so the Holdens can express their appreciation. The ornaments will not be returned.
